Property developer Pueblo de Oro Corp. (PDO) is scaling up its presence in Cagayan de Oro, allocating P18 billion across new developments nationwide and dedicating P13.5 billion to the Misamis Oriental hub. Its flagship Southridge—a 31-hectare, "Silicon Valley-type" township launched in May—will integrate office space, BPO facilities, residential lots, retail, and leisure components, with a World Trade Center hall under study. The company is also building Masterson Mile North, a five-tower, 22-to-26-storey residential complex designed by Gensler and Associates. PDO cited Cagayan de Oro's 6.8% real GDP growth in 2024 and its status as the Philippines' sixth-largest urban economy, reinforced by the planned Laguindingan Airport expansion and the proposed Metro Cagayan de Misamis Development Authority. The city contributes 28.3% of Northern Mindanao's total economic output.

Real Estate Outlook

Uptown CDO and the Laguindingan diversion corridor are positioned for sharp value appreciation as township infrastructure rolls out. Early investors in residential lots and pre-selling units along the growth axis stand to capture premium upside over the five-year build cycle.
