Speaking at the 2026 Regional Housing Conference in Davao City, Mindanao Development Authority Chairperson Secretary Leo Tereso A. Magno said Mindanao's real estate sector is being "shaped by infrastructure, powered by energy, and strengthened by connectivity," pointing to a ₱2.24-trillion project pipeline anchored by the Davao International Airport modernization, the Samal Island-Davao City Connector, and the Davao City Coastal Road. Magno noted Mindanao has moved from power shortages to a generating surplus, now exporting electricity to the Visayas grid.
